Biography -- Teaching -- Research -- Media

I am a political scientist with general training in American politics and political theory. More specifically, I'm interested in the areas of religion and politics, American conservatism, and American political development.

I studied political science at the City University of New York's Graduate Center, where I was awarded a PhD in 2008. I also have an MA in philosophy from the Graduate Center, and studied philosophy as an undergraduate at Muhlenberg College.

After living in the New York metro area for a number of years, I came to Randolph-Macon College in 2009. I have previously taught at Marymount Manhattan College and the City University of New York's Hunter College.
